Point Lobos & Monterey Field Strip

On November 18, 2017, many members of the Tai Chi Club along with their friends and family members, a total of 44 people, went to a fun one day field trip to Point Lobos State Park and Monterey.

It was a cold Saturday morning in Fresno with light frog. All participants had to get early to get ready for the trip.

The group met at the parking of R-N Market in Fresno around 6:45am to wait for a rental charter bus. The bus arrived around 7:00am. We quickly loaded our stuff and got on the bus for Point Lobos and Monterey.

We enjoyed a light breakfast and snack on the bus. The bus driver told us about how to sit comfortable on the bus, how to use the utilities on the bus, how to exit the bus in case of an emergency. The trip organizers went over the itineraries for the day, the approximate arrival time for each destination, and other things that we need to know about the trip.

After socializing for a little while, most of us took a nap on the bus since we all had to get up so early.

Point Lobos State Reserve

After a nice nap and a break at Casa De Fruta Orchard Resort at Hollister, CA, we arrived at our first destination Point Lobos Stats Reserve Park. It was a beautiful day at the Park. The weather was nice, and the sky was blue.

Lunch at Monterey

After leaving the beautiful Point Lobos State Reserve Park, the group stopped by the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant in Monterey, CA for a delicious family style lunch.

Explore Monterey

After a delicious lunch, the bus took the group to the Fishman's Wharf area of Monterey. The group broke into small groups to continue to explore the area.

Return Back to Fresno

At 3:30pm, all people met back at the bus and left Monterey for Fresno. It was a fun one-day trip.
